How Much Does An App Cost?

There is no easy answer. It depends. That’s a lot like asking how much does it cost to buy a car or build a house – it depends on what kind of car you're buying or house you're building. A Ford Fiesta and a Ferrari can both get you from A to B, yet are completely different with very different prices. Still, it is possible to give some rough guidelines on app development costs.

The development cost range for a small app is typically in the range €5,000 to €10,000. The majority of apps fall in the region of €10,000 to €40,000. More complex apps can cost €50,000 to €150,000 or more.

That sounds like a lot. And it is. Could you go offshore and get an app developed for a much lower rate? Sure. The problem is, like most things in life, you get what you pay for. We get several requests a month from people wanting us to "fix" cheap code. "saving" money up front could end up costing you more in the end.

The only sure way to find out what it will cost to get your app idea developed is to get some quotes from experienced app developers. Talk to us and we can discuss the details of your idea with you and give you a pretty good idea of what it will cost.

Pricing

We offer several engagement models to suit your requirements. We can either work under a fixed-price arrangement, where we agree a specification upfront, or under a more flexible time and materials engagement, ideal for projects where you are not sure of what you want and want to go through iterations of rapid development. We can also consider other options under certain circumstances.

Fixed Price Contract

This type of engagement is best suited to well-defined projects that don’t require research. We can agree a specification and offer a very competitive fixed price upfront. Our fixed price will include analysis, specification, design, development, graphic design, testing, bug fixing, deployment, support and maintenance.

Time & Materials Contract

Time and materials engagements are better suited for clients with an ongoing need for software development, or projects that cannot be estimated either because they are too large, are not well defined, or involve development on the cutting edge. This type of relationship is especially valued by our fast-growing customers, who require the quick turnaround, flexibility and control.
